Five By Five

Joss Whedon is a genius. Has anyone heard of Joss Whedon's 'Fray', yet? Fray is an eight-part comicbook miniseries set in the future. 2200 or so, and it involves the current Slayer, Melaka Fray. (Don't ask. I find the name weird too). According to the story, its been about 200 years since the last Slayer was called. Apparently demons don't exist anymore, so there's no more need for Slayers even if the powers still manifest. The Watchers Council is now just a bunch of paranoid lunatics who are convinced that 'demons' still exist. Fray is now the current Slayer, though she doesn't know it yet. She works as a thief of sorts, stealing artifacts and selling them to the highest bidder- which in most cases turns out to be a mutated human named Gunther.

Of course, eventually, shit happens. Yadda yadda yadda 'sacred duty' yadda yadda yadda. Though its not as typical as you might expect. Noooo. Expect some twists near the ends. Major ones.

Unlike the rest of the Buffy comics, this one was written by Joss himself, so it's canon, and its going to rock your socks off. So download, and hang on tight. ^^

Fray Part Two - Download

The files are kinda big (the first one's about 14MB), but it's totally worth it. If you guys want more, tell me and I'll upload the rest. (Not in one go, though)
You don't need any knowledge of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel to read this. If you're planning to watch any of the above, there are no spoilers. It's completely stand-alone.

So far there's no word on any continuation to her story. It's just the eight parts and that's it. I still have my fingers crossed, though. I wouldn't say know if Whedon wants to make a TV-series, or a movie even! (drools)

Okay, done ranting now. Lemme know what you guys think.

That is, if you even bother to try it. (sighs) Whatever. Seeya people around! Especially you college peeps- college opens in two days! YAY!

(that was sarcasm)
